The BJP objected to the resolution’s explicit references to previous assembly resolutions regarding autonomy (2000) and special status. Therefore, political observers and local media report a sense of “no profit” because daily ruckuses, disruptions and walkouts have wasted valuable session time. Over 33 Private Members’ Bills addressing tangible problems which include Job reservations, land rights, healthcare, education, daily wagers, and power tariffs have faced severe delays. Consequently, while the session has yielded major political policy resolutions, it has yet to pass definitive legislation delivering practical relief to everyday citizens.
