Srinagar, November 3: Muhammad Ashraf Mattoo, father of teenager Tufail Mattoo who was killed during the 2010 Kashmir unrest after being hit by a tear-smoke shell, on Tuesday called Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the National Conference (NC) leadership “inhuman” and compared them to the Pharaoh.

Mattoo made the remarks amid the ongoing political developments surrounding Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi’s resignation from the National Conference.

Ruhullah on Tuesday handed over his resignation letter to Muhammad Ashraf Mattoo, requesting him to deliver it to NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah.

Speaking to reporters, Mattoo said he would not personally deliver the resignation letter and would instead hand it over to someone else for submission.
