Kashmir’s Chrysanthemum Garden Set to Emerge as Asia’s New Autumn Attraction

Srinagar, October 22: Following the remarkable success of Kashmir’s iconic Tulip Garden, the newly developed Chrysanthemum Garden is poised to emerge as a major autumn attraction in Asia, Director Floriculture Kashmir Mathoora Masoom said.
The garden has already begun attracting visitors with a spectacular display of around 3.5 lakh flowering chrysanthemum plants, which are expected to remain in bloom until early December.
Describing the project as a “dream project” of the Floriculture Department, Masoom said the initiative aims to expand Kashmir’s tourism season beyond the popular spring tulip spectacle and offer visitors a vibrant floral experience during autumn.
With its colourful blooms and picturesque surroundings, the Chrysanthemum Garden is expected to add a new dimension to Kashmir’s tourism landscape and establish the Valley as a year-round floral destination.
